I really think the video is propaganda, because it tries to convince that without America fighting in the war, America is going to be taken away and Germany is taking over the whole world. It's interesting that the video shows how Hitler divided the earth in 2 big pieces.The speaker is very decisive and wants to show clearly how Germany wants to invade the whole world, starting taking over Austria and Chechoslovakia without a fight and then going to Poland. All the dramatic pictures when they invaded Warsaw are shown to convince Americans that it's necessary to enter the war. SR
This video is absolutely an example of propaganda, that's not saying this is a bad thing but many messages in the movie are opinionated and not pure fact. The film is trying to persuade Americans why joining the war is an absolute necessity, I believe this film was probably made especially to convince isolationists that if America doesn't join the war against Germany, Germany will sucussfully conquer the world...or as the narrator says it, Europe, the Heartlands, The World Islands, and then...the World. Also the dramatic music, the montages of people crying, it's all an effective technique to convince people that America needs to join the war. Although it was backed up with some truth behind it, nothing really deceptive, it hust had a very patriotic message to it. ATN
